I want love to hit me like a train,
Sudden and immense like a heart attack.
I want to be pistol-whipped with happiness,
And the joy to flow like claret across my features.
I want contentment to fall on me like the night,
Slow and purposeful like the change of seasons.
I want to sit with you
And dream of places that exist in thought-
Think of the imminent.
Ponder the present.
And doubt the past.
I want to drink like a tree
And swim like the ocean,
I want to fly like a cloud
And sleep like a mountain.
I want to fall in love in May.
